the "New" part of your book.
Is that a polyester material I see you wearing? The penalty in Leviticus is death
by stoning. It is the ultimate in hypocrisy to condemn incest, a crime punishable
only with banishment from the tribe, by a preacher wearing that blended fabric tie
where the penalty is a death sentence.
For those who insist that their Bible is the "Final Word of God", do you follow all
613 Mosaic Laws in Leviticus to the letter? If that's not your lifestyle, then please
stop making judgements on other people who aren't harming you.
Besides, didn't the Hebrew people use incest as a means of enforcing racial purity?
Wasn't Ruth the story of a woman commended for marrying "her closest relative"? I'm
sure their is a good reason God included this information in the Bible–so that I
might follow his instruction. Come to think of it, was not Jesus the final generation
of a many thousand year line of repeated incest? I want to be like Jesus! And Jesus
must also have been gay–check out his 12 disciples.
