Generational shame. One day our grandchildren will look back on today's society and
see how most people today come down on the wrong side of incestuous marriage.
If you're so quick to reject the institution of incest, think again. It should be
really important to us whether or not our grandchildren are ashamed by our lack of
support for father's marrying their step-daughters, like Woody Allen.
I'm ashamed. Aren't you? I care about what generations will think of me in the future.
Some publishers ban books portraying incest, Yet these same publisher will print
other books -- like, uh the Bible -- which contains many incestuous scenes. It should
be pointed out that if these publishers were really following their own rules, they
would take the Bible off the market as well.
I'm sure our grandchildren will be laughing their asses off at today's prudery much
the same as we laugh today at Victorians covering ‘nude' piano legs over a misguided
fear of exciting music recital attendees. Or inventing the terms 'white meat' and
'dark meat', used by Victorians to spare them from offering or asking for a chicken
leg or breast. What will our kids think of incest?
