Experts argue over whether or not a man is naturally monogamous. If we accept that
he is, we must allow for the undeniable fact that many marriage partners are not
satisfied with the favors of one mate.
When we say ‘man’, we now know we must of course include ‘women’. Such a woman is
is a woman with a wandering eye. Safely mated, she becomes bored with the predictability
of her life. She feels there must be something more, though she is not sure what.
The women in most of my stories embark upon an existence that offers them the excitement
of new lovers and new situations. But, as much as they enjoys themselves, fear of
discovery haunts them continuously. Women, we find, are afraid to try to fending
for themselves. The security their husbands offer is important to them. So they procrastinate,
and they suffer, and she cheats on him.
